Villa Bissari San Carlo in Costabissara

It is a building situated on the summit of a small hill and plunged in an age-old park; it was completely adjusted in 1877 by Count Cesare Biegio; at present it is used as a place for spiritual ceremonies. Its Doric loggia, attributed to Ottone Calderari, is extremely valuable as it was created as a belvedere.

Villa Caldogno Pagello Nordera in Caldogno

villa caldognoIt was designed by Andrea Palladio and it was built between 1565 and 1570. It is a simple building with an entrance embellished by a triple rusticated arcade. The interior is much richer and contains some paintings in fresco by G.A. Fasolo, G.B. Zelotti and G. Carpioni. (It can be visited by free admission)

 

 

Villa Verlato Putinin Villavela

The building rises on the square of the village. It was built as a town house in the last quarter of the century by Vincenzo Scamozzi. It is a solid construction on four floors; the central part is shaped on hexastyle pronao with Doric semicolumns and a carved pediment.

Villa Ghellini Dall’Olmoin Villaverla

villa ghelliniIn the project by Antonio Pizzocaro we can see several manufactured elements on different levels. The building, dated 1664, worthy of sovereigns rather than patricians of the Veneto, was never finished and moreover it was seriously damaged during the first World War. (It can be visited by appointment)

Villa Da Porto Colleoni Thienein Thiene

It is a large building often regarded as a castle due to its unusual architectonic forms related to a villa. It is composed of two high embattled towers which enclose the central body. Inside there are some pictures by Veronese and Zelotti. (Guided visits and against payment)

Villa Capra Bassaniin Sarcedo

The building recovers the palladian outlines. The façade is enriched with a tetrastyle pronao with Ionic columns. You can enter through a stately flight of steps. The garden is delimited by a brick wall with octagonal small towers at the corner entrances.

Villa Giusti Del Giardiniin Zugliano

It is a seventeenth century building which rises on the foundations of a former Renaissance villa. (Visits to be agreed with the Town Hall)

Villa Godi Valmarana Malinverniin Lugo di Vicenza, Loredo

villa godiIt is probably the first villa built by Palladio (between 1540 and 1542). Its structure follows the forms of the late Gothic Venetian palaces. It is endowed with a great decorative and pictorial value; noteworthy is its library rich in rarities. (It can be visited against payment)

 

 

Villa Piovene Porto Godi in Lugo di Vicenza, Loredo

The building of the palace took place along two centuries, from the Sixteenth to the Seventeenth century. The park behind the villa contains some natural caves and it was arranged in an English style at the beginning of the nineteenth century. (Only the park can be visited)

Villa Nievo Bonin Longarein Montecchio Precalcino

It is a refined villa in neo Gothic style. Its realization, in 1880, wasdue to an adjustment of an eighteenth century building.

Dueville

It is a centre extremely rich in villas: it has ten villas situated between the centre of the village, Pilastroni and Povolaro. Villa Monza (1775) designed by Francesco Muttoni; villa Da Porto Del Conte (in the middle of the nineteenth century); villa Da Porto Casarotto (late eighteenth century).
