VENICE: NIGHT LIFE

Welcome in this new section of Venezia.net!

New because we never discuss about music and night life before.

We will attend about night-clubs, bars and about all is in the van in Venice and in the terra-firma relative to music.

We would like to suggest you a series of places and meeting-points where to go during the night and before so you can enjoy with our famous aperitifs or pre-parties, already a way of life and a phenomenon here in our town.

Taverns, pubs and minimalists wine-bars are offering a taste of their wines and new drinks match with a choice of old and new melodies.

Venice

Aperitif and pre-party

• Paradiso Perduto - Fondamenta della Misericordia, Cannaregio 2540, with the new management the venetian cookery has been opened to different cultures and every sunday from 09:00pm to 11:00pm you can enjoy with latin, cuban and jazz music.
• Caffé Rosso - Campo Santa Margherita, Dorsoduro, reggae music paradise, famous pre and after dinner date for young people, students and turists. Open every night.
• Chet bar - Campo Santa Margherita, Dorsoduro, a new place completely dedicated to trumpetist Chet Baker, music, colours and furnitures from the '60. On Wednesdays, Frydays and Saturdays aperitifs and dj set with Satoshi, Belami and Davide Golia.
• Torino@notte - Campo San Luca, San Marco, jazz jam session on Wednesdays and dj set with Andrea Jehbo for the most popular pub for the young people.
  
  
  
  
• Caffé Aurora - Piazza San Marco, lounge bar, dance and artistic performances live. After 10:00pm on Thursdays dj set with lounge and ethno-electronic house.

Clubs

• Round Midnight - Santa Margherita, Dorsoduro 3102, every Saturday night dance music with dj Davide Golia an Satoshi.

Minimalism in furnitures but also in music, live or from huge sound system new sounds draw our attention. The best marriage is to listen at some good music and drink a good one feeling at home. Many places are easy to reach in the terra-firma(Mestre, Marghera and vicinity) from Piazzale Roma with the public transport running all night long or with taxies and private busses connecting the clubs.

Aperitif and pre-party

• Pink Avenue – delicatessen and wine bar in Mestre, 18 Rosa street (between Poerio street and the main post office), new management. Good wines, cheese and snacks in a relaxing and typical atmosphere often accompained by lounge music. Don’t forget to reserve a table and remind that it’s closed on Tuesdays (tel. 041-971538).

• Macao – Lounge Bar in Mestre, 35 Palazzo street, next to Ferretto square Macao is just open, i recommend you the aperitif’s time if you can get in, it’s a really small bar…but nice and comfortable in one of the best streets in our town, closed on Tuesdays.

 

 

 

 

• Vittoria Nike – bar and disco bar in Mestre (200 mt from the main church of Carpenedo), 28 S. Donà street, famous for its pre-parties on Frydays with dj Marco Molina and on Saturdays with dj Nat playing house and dance sounds till 02:00am. We like Sundays for aperitif time, quite busy of very nice people (…boys and girls), but it’s open in the morning as well for your breakfast, don’t go too early, it’ll be closed sure, Tuesdays closed.

 

 

• DiningRoom - restaurant and lounge bar in Marghera, via Fratelli Bandiera 22, the best aperitif for sure that we like for its musical proposals as the presentation of G.Frisina new album called "Latin Kick" out now on Schema Records.

Clubs

• Area - in Mestre, via Don Tosatto 9, in front of Auchan megastore, every Friday night hosted by dj Alex natale while on Saturdays the "maextro" dj Giuliano Veronese with the latest musical news accompanied by the best artists and djs as Cassius, Trentemoller, Ivan Smagghe. Saturday 11th march 2006 dj John Digweed.
• Magic Bus - in Marcon, Saturdays are "Reloaded" with the best of alternative rock and new wave.
• Il Muretto - in Jesolo
