Cà Furlan, whose name derives from the calle dei Furlani, is situated in front of the church of the Horseman of Malta, a church known as S. Giovanni dei Furlani in dialect but really called S. Giovanni Battista. Cà Furlan was built on top of a 15th century old horse stable, indeed designed for the shelter and feeding of the horses of Malta. Still today, across the street, in the interior of the church of S. Giovanni Battista, one can admire the evocative cloister surrounded by the various coats of arms sculpted by the Horsemen of Malta leaving an indelible mark. Cà Furlan today is a small, cosy house whose lavish marvel flooring and beautifully designed rooms let us relive the period when Venice was the powerful and wealthy “most serene” republic. Cà Furlan’s elegant rooms are all equipped with air conditioning, refrigerator-bar, telephone, satellite television, internet connection BB, money safe, private bath with shower or tub, hair dryer, and an impeccable cleaning service and assistance provided by a professional, highly qualified staff. Several rooms have windows situated right over a romantic canal that streams into the famous, picturesque bacino di San Marco.
