Also this year a great Renaissance style Garden will be set up in St. Mark’s Square, during the Carnival of Venice 2010. The same garden where the most relevant performances will take place: it will be crossed by a long catwalk where Ferruccio Soleri will present his performance as an extraordinary Arlecchino; where Bianca Brandolini d’Adda, the angel of this year will land; where the masks for the Best Carnival Costume Contest and the most well-known Drag Queens taking part to the Contest devoted to them during the Carnival, will parade.

A huge winged Lion based on great artist Arcimboldo’s style, thus made of apples, artichokes, radicchio, cabbages, cappuccio and carrots, will be place on the background of the catwalk.
The Coldiretti, which has seen to the arrangement of the Garden both last year and this year, assures the presence of 4766 plants, 26 square metres of grass carpet, 1200 yellow primoroses, which will frame the central platform that will welcome guests and performances.
Inside the Garden just opposite the catwalk there will be a lounge area called ‘Stella Lounge’, opened from the morning to midnight and run by Stella Events, which for many years has looked after of the Terrazza in front of the Red Carpet of the Mostra del Cinema. ‘Suite Stella’ will welcome events to which celebrities, politicians and famous professionals take part, by offering fingers food and the best wines and cocktails.
