The main building of Hotel Paganelli, the former convent of the Benedictine nuns of San Zaccaria, is located in a privileged position and enjoys a picturesque view of the Bacino di San Marco.
In fact, they are situated right opposite the island of San Giorgio and just a short walk away from Piazza San Marco. Hotel Paganelli is easily accessible by public transport from all directions, certainly the ideal destination for anyone visiting such a diverse and unique city for the first time, albeit also an essential place for returning visitors wishing to experience the city from a privileged location.

This part of the Hotel was completely renovated in 2008 and comprises three floors, some rooms overlooking the Basin of San Marco, while others look out on our quiet and silent inner courtyard, where our stylish new bar is placed. Our guests enjoy reserved access to a typical Venetian terrace located, as tradition mandates, on the Hotel roof known as "altana". This gives us a 360 degree view of the roofs of Venice, where the towers and domes of the most important churches in the Castello district can be admired: San Giovanni and Paolo, Bragora, San Zaccaria and the Basilica of San Marco, with a splendid view of the island of San Giorgio, la Giudecca and Punta della Dogana in the foreground.
Our bar service will shortly open in the outdoor areas as well, allowing our guests to enjoy the warm sunshine of the Riva degli Schiavoni, a favourite destination of visitors who love long walks on the basin's edge.
